I don't pay much attention to this page so I can only apologise to you, citizen of the future, if it's out of date.

I'm a part-time PhD candidate working in computability of groups. The rest of my time, I'm the school's e-learning officer, part of the e-learning unit.

Research

My current work is on the computability of Bass-Serre structures in the context of the Grzegorczyk hierarchy. The latest draft of my paper on the subject is on Github.

In fact, all of my research notes are on Github.

I've written some Python code to work with double-coset representations of groups and Stallings foldings, for Liza Frenkel and Andrew Duncan.

I've read Rimlinger's book, Pregroups and Bass-Serre theory. I didn't like it.

My MMath project was on the word problem in group theory.

Work

I am the main developer for Numbas, a browser-based e-assessment system for maths.

It is open-source and available on Github.

I was involved in producing some online worksheets for first-year engineering students, for Maths-Aid. They're available at the Maths-Aid site.
