The meeting will be held on Thursday 15th April 2010 at Newcastle University. The main aim of this one day conference is to give research students in pure mathematics a chance to meet, discuss work and interests (mathematical or otherwise) and gain experience with conference speaking in a relatively informal environment.
The event will consist of several short talks given by students on their own research or relevant background material and two talks by two guest speakers.
Registration for Pure Mathematics Postgraduate Conference 2010 is on the same page as the registration for the LMS Northern Meeting and workshop. Please fill in the form carefully and tick the relevant boxes for which events you would like to register for. If you would like to give a 15 minute talk at the meeting, please fill in the talk title box when you register.
A fee of £ 10 will be charged to cover the cost of tea/coffee and lunch on the day. Please bring £ 10 with you when you register (either Monday morning at 10am in the Foyer of the Agriculture Building or Thursday morning from 9am in room 3.19 Herschel Building third floor).
A schedule will be available here. In brief, there will be a registration session from 9-10am in room 3.19 on the third floor of the Herschel Building (for all those who have not registered) and the talks will start at 10am and finish at 5pm.

We have received a LMS Scheme 8 grant. We aim to fund part of a postgraduates traveling costs.
