My name is Francesco Castellani and I am a PhD Student in Civil Engineering at Newcastle University, in the United Kingdom, where I currently live. I hold an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of Calabria (Italy), class of 2011. I am fueled by curiosity and discovery. My professional and research interests include Civil Engineering Infrastructures, Big Data, Smart Cities, Python, GIS, and Complex Networks. When not involved in teaching and demonstrating activities, I spend my spare time playing basketball, watching hockey games, collecting aircraft models, and reading.
